What makes it so special? Canvas is the same with all models. The stainless steel case is 38mm wide and 12.6mm thick. Zenith and Hodinkee chose a matte salmon-opaline dial. It is stunning. The overlapping galvanic dials were made in three different shades of silver and gray. This clever play on A386 dial hints at Hodinkee's gray color. The surrounding decimal scale is also executed in the same galvanic grey as the sub-dial at 3 o'clock, while a salmon-colored base is used to surround the 1/10th of a second scale.

The movement is exquisitely finished with: beveled edges, polished and brushed steel parts, screwed gold chatons, blued screws, Breguet spring, wheel-train bridge with Glashütte ribbed finish, winding wheels with double sun burst decoration.
A sapphire crystal, anti-reflective on both sides protects the silver-grained, 18K gold dial and which is framed by milled black Roman numerals and a railroad chapter ring. Sapphire crystal protected by “hunter” officer’s case back with engraved time zones (can be customized for client, it can even be changed in future if needed).
In my opinion, the Hermès logos stamped on the movement bridges are kind of hideous (the same way I feel about Louis Vuitton logos emblazoned all over a handbag), but at least the dimensions of the watch, the fonts, and the other dial details are quite nice.
